Prayer is an integral part of life as a Christian, we believe that through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, we are now able to come into the presence of God.
We believe what Jesus told us in Matthew 18:19-20
"Again I say to you, if two or three of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
As such, we meet together, knowing that the Holy Spirit is with us as we give thanks to God and pray for our schools, emergency services, neighbours, towns and our nation and government, as well as global issues, and for any other requests we have recieved, expecting to see our prayers answered.
We believe that prayer (talking to God) is a two way conversation, and that it is essential in our lives both individually and corporately, we encourage everyone to attend at least one of our prayer meetings each week.
Our main prayer meeting is on a Sunday morning before our worship service at St John Ambulance Hall, Highbridge from 9:15-10:00, all are welcome to join us at this meeting.
Other prayer events, inlcuding prayer walks and picnics are often organised, details of which will be found on our events page as they are organised.
